In my first class alone, I have learned a lot about breadboards. On the top and bottom there are two stripes, a blue and a red. The blue represents a negative connection while the red represents a positive connection. All the horizontal holes next to the blue line are connected and all the horizontal holes next to the red line are connected. Though, the holes above the top red line and the holes above the bottom red line are not connected unless done manually with a wire; same with the blue lines. In the center, each vertical line is connected but only until the middle at the indent. For example, the holes at the 60 a – e are connected and the holes at 60 f – j are connected, but the holes at 60 a and 60 g do not share a connection.

Multimeters
Multimeters are extremely useful when it comes to measuring things such as current, voltage, and resistance. It can keep you from short circuiting and can help you to have more control over your circuit. It can assist in troubleshooting as you can see where connections are. If something is not reading any power or currency, it is possibly the issue.
Final Projects
Tia Dizon:
I really enjoyed Tia’s final project. She copied a pedal I use frequently and was able to make it sound very professional. She added not only gain for distortion but a high/low pass as well.
Alexandra Dyan:
Alexandra’s project was super interesting to me. She added so many features such as vibrato and pitch control. The frequencies of some of the notes sounded a little off, but overall I was pretty shocked she could accomplish all she did.
Chris Friedman:
I thought Chris’s final project was very creative and interesting. He was able to achieve very interesting sounds and showed an in-depth knowledge of the topic. I enjoyed the box he created for the project as well and it let me think more about the outcome and less about the process he had.
